Meet the Counseling Department
Mrs. Dumas
Heather Dumas is an alumna of Hartwick College (B.A.) and University of Virginia (M. Ed.). She is both a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading. Mrs. Dumas loves animals and has a hobby farm with horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, rabbits, cats, and dogs.

Mr. Yoder
Brynn Yoder is an alumni of Eastern Mennonite University (B.A.) and James Madison University (M. Ed./Ed.S.) in school counseling. He loves running, escape rooms, and playing with his two cats, Otho and Arula.

Mrs. Thomas
Dawn Thomas is a Virginia Tech alumnus who has served at GCPS for over 30 years. She was awarded a full college scholarship thanks to her work at the research park and showing sheep through 4H. When she's not at WMMS, Ms. Thomas gardens, plays with her dogs, and serves at her church.
